Maryam Torabi
Instructor of Persian Language
Maryam Torabi is an accomplished scholar specializing in Medieval Armenian and Persian literary traditions. She obtained her master's degree in General Linguistics from Isfahan University in 2013, where she delved into the study of Armenian and Persian literature. Seeking to expand her knowledge and expertise, Maryam embarked on her doctoral journey at Yerevan State University's Department of Linguistics, focusing on the language of the renowned eighteenth-century poet, Sayat-Nova. Her research explores Sayat-Nova's profound engagement with Persian-Nova poetry, shedding light on the intricate connections between the two traditions. Maryam has contributed significantly to the field, with several published articles on Sayat-Nova studies showcasing her scholarly insights.
Complementing her academic pursuits, Maryam also shared her expertise through teaching roles. From 2014 to 2020, she served as an instructor at the Armenology Department in Isfahan University, enriching the educational experience of students with her deep knowledge of the subject. Furthermore, Maryam actively instructs Persian language courses in various associations, further promoting cultural exchange and language acquisition. Her dedication to both academia and education showcases her commitment to advancing scholarly research and fostering cross-cultural understanding.
