10 weeks (or 5-9 weeks) 2025 Persian Language Summer School

First of all, I credit Khachik for doing such an amazing job running ASPIRANTUM! It definitely exceeded my expectations. The classes were well organized with amazing teachers, the activities were fun, and the banquets were entertaining. Khachik also made sure you arrived safely and well in Yerevan and was always ready to help you whenever you needed it.

I took the Persian summer program, which means a 4-hour class a day with a break every hour. We covered speaking, listening, reading, and grammar, which were very useful. Homework was mostly writing or preparing a monologue. By doing the grammar first, we could apply this further during class. I had so much fun during class; the teachers were knowledgeable, and we also got to know more about the Iranian culture. After class, I mostly ate lunch with my classmates and did homework together. I was never bored because there was always something to do in the city but also preparation for the next day's class. My Persian has definitely improved because there was a focus on speaking in the classes as well. The first week was overwhelming because you are just thrown into the Persian, but I quickly became used to it. I think it is the best way to learn Persian!

Yerevan is a great place to live during summer. Maybe you will even pick up some Armenian and Russian. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, art, festivals, and food! Coming to Armenia to study Persian was definitely a great decision, and I would do it again.
