Top-notch instructors? Yes. Class trip adventures to a mountain lake? Also yes!

During the summer of 2026, I spent six weeks studying intermediate-level Persian with Aspirantum, and after this experience, I can confidently say that few other language programs are quite like it. Each class was very well structured, combining reading, listening, speaking and writing skills and covering topics that ranged from 12th-century Iranian poetry to the modern-day Iranian economy. The quality of instruction we had from Professor Vardan and Mahboobeh was exceptional; each had extensive experience in teaching Persian and was always willing to adapt classes to our specific interests and our particular skills in need of practice.

The trips and class excursions organised by Khachik were another part of what made this experience so memorable. Whether it was arranging tickets to see Swan Lake at the Yerevan National Opera, trekking and picnicking in the foothills of Mount Ararat, dancing past midnight to traditional Armenian music, or exploring a mountain temple built almost two thousand years ago, Khachik ensured we fully experienced what Armenian history and culture have to offer.
