I studied Persian with Aspirantum for one month. At Aspirantum, the classes were small, with one teacher and one assistant teacher, allowing for individual attention to specific questions and thorough feedback on homework and assignments. The teacher, a linguist and university professor, has extensive knowledge of the language, history, politics, and etymology and is extremely passionate, which made the classes highly engaging. The class materials included real documents such as the constitution and news clips, which allowed me to understand Persian in a range of accents and contexts.
The school has a very welcoming environment and encourages interaction among students of different languages. It brings together people from various walks of life, backgrounds, and nationalities through excursions and shared meals. I was fortunate to visit several holy sites with Aspirantum, including a lake and the Yazidi population, as well as try local specialties. A highlight was the trip to the parliament and a discussion with a former MP and political party founder. We were granted special access to the building and were able to ask questions about Armenia’s current political and geopolitical situation.
I highly recommend Aspirantum for those who want to study languages and have a unique experience in Armenia.

“We got to visit many of Armenia’s beautiful old monasteries and churches, and, on my favorite trip, we visited Yazidi shepherds, who were very welcoming, giving us bread and cheese and letting us try to milk their sheep. Unfortunately, I did not manage to milk it successfully, but the experience was wonderful nevertheless!”Read Testimonial

“As a teacher myself, I will borrow some of Mahboobe's great strategies for making learning interesting and authentic. The field trips were great, and I felt so welcomed and supported right away! I loved the dinners and getting to explore Armenia this way. The location for this program is great. Highly recommended!”Read Testimonial
