Having completed a full term my only regret is that I could not stay longer. The Aspirantum Program teaches language with masterful approach and passionate resolve, and beyond an immersive academic environment Aspirantum fosters a real sense of community here for us in Armenia. The instructors are professionals and valuable resources in language, culture, and history. Lessons in the course cover a wide range of topics that are hand crafted to meet the needs, abilities, and interests of students. Consequently, I leave the program with not only a better grasp of grammar and vocabulary, but also a rapidly growing interest in regional history, literature, and media. One aspect of the course I find particularly effective is daily reading and watching; Aspirantum patiently and painstaking takes the time and effort to work with students’ comprehension line-by-line, whether in text or video. I also found that the weekend excursions across Armenia stimulated my interests and ensured I would show up to class on Monday invigorated and motivated. I genuinely benefitted from this course and was made more successful by the efforts of Mrs. Ani and Dr. Voskanian. Mentorship from true experts is both a humbling and eye-opening experience, and for that reason I will always look back fondly and thankfully on my time in Armenia with Aspirantum.
