10 weeks (or 6-9 weeks) 2026 Persian Language Summer School

As an Iranian-American, studying Persian (Farsi) at ASPIRANTUM in Yerevan was an especially meaningful experience. Although I grew up hearing the language, I arrived not knowing the Persian script, but by the end of the course, I was confidently reading and understanding texts in Farsi. The program’s structure, from its clear progression of lessons to its emphasis on both grammar and cultural nuance, made learning incredibly effective. My instructors Mahboubeh and Hasmik were not only knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about teaching, creating an environment that was supportive, inspiring, and intellectually rich. Early on, I enjoyed bringing some homemade Persian food to share with the class.

What made the experience truly unique was the cultural immersion that extended far beyond the classroom. ASPIRANTUM’s excursions to sites like Areni-1 Cave, Noravank Monastery, and the ancient Temple of Garni were unforgettable. These trips deepened my appreciation for Armenia’s rich history and its cultural connections to Iran, adding a powerful and immersive dimension to my studies.

ASPIRANTUM isn’t just a language program, it’s a space where culture, history, and language come together in the best possible way. I left the program not only with stronger Persian skills, but also with a deeper sense of connection to my heritage and a lasting appreciation for Armenian culture. I would highly recommend ASPIRANTUM to anyone seeking an immersive, inspiring, and truly transformative language experience.
