10 weeks (or 4-9 weeks) 2024 Persian Language Summer School

Intensive, fun, fruitful, and educational: these words describe my experience in the summer of 2022 taking Persian classes at the Aspirantum School. As soon as we arrived, we began an action-packed program to provide a cultural, historical, social, and linguistic frame for the eight-week immersion program. This summer has been invaluable for my research, especially in the reading of classical Persian texts from the Middle Ages. However, not just that… the language classes focused on ancient and modern alike and cater to students from all disciplines. I went to Yerevan hoping to leave with a good grasp of the basics of Persian grammar, and I feel that I could meet this goal and go far beyond it with the help of the wonderful teachers and staff. The school’s curriculum focuses on a wide variety of topics, which provides a rich backdrop for the Persian language in both its spoken and written forms. Overall, the Aspirantum school offers a wonderful opportunity to learn Persian for those unable to travel to Iran and those curious to learn about Armenia while learning about the Persian language and its historical connections with Armenia and Armenian. I highly recommend it!
