Although the course was moved online due to the pandemic, ASPIRANTUM director and teachers worked tirelessly to ensure our course ran as smoothly as possible.
The course covers a range of topics including politics, culture, literature and spoken. Each day we had reading, listening and speaking components. The speaking component really put our language skills to test and in effect, I felt my ability to think and speak in Persian improved quickly.
Professor Voskanian is a very kind mentor and knowledgeable lecturer, his explanations of word origins were really in-depth and interesting to me. This summer school was also a great opportunity for Persian students from around the world to connect with each other, I truly learnt a lot from my classmates too.
My language skills improved quickly over 3 weeks and I cannot wait to go to Armenia in person for future courses.
