I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Aspirantum Language School to anybody wanting to study Persian. The Intermediate classes were rigorous but very rewarding and struck a good balance between the essential skills of listening, reading, speaking, and writing. Feedback on homework was extensive and extremely helpful. In addition to the classes, Khachik (the director of the language school) was very welcoming and organised a fantastic programme of weekend trips and cultural events to complement the academic classes, which were a great opportunity to get to know other students taking the Armenian or Russian courses, and to learn more about the rich history and culture of Armenia itself. In fact, experiencing Armenia was one of the great unexpected bonuses of my time at Aspirantum.

“The teacher, a linguist and university professor, has extensive knowledge of the language, history, politics, and etymology and is extremely passionate, which made the classes highly engaging. The class materials included real documents such as the constitution and news clips, which allowed me to understand Persian in a range of accents and contexts.”Read Testimonial

“While in Armenia, I was met with the opportunity to focus solely on my language studies rather than attempting to juggle both Persian and other academic work. Learning a new language takes an incredible amount of time, and ASPIRANTUM is a great way to increase the necessary number of hours to further one’s mileage down the road—whether that road is Persian, Russian, or Armenian.”Read Testimonial

“As a teacher myself, I will borrow some of Mahboobe's great strategies for making learning interesting and authentic. The field trips were great, and I felt so welcomed and supported right away! I loved the dinners and getting to explore Armenia this way. The location for this program is great. Highly recommended!”Read Testimonial
