Day 2 - History

In this session, we will expand our vocabulary related to history. Following the grammar section, we will learn infixes and practice reading and listening skills as usual.

Grammar: In Farsi, infixes play a crucial role in word formation alongside prefixes and suffixes. Students will learn the most frequently used infixes and their specific functions.

Reading: Seljuks established the first empire in Iran in the Islamic era. They had a significant influence on the politics, economics, and art of Iran. The chosen text from a school history book (pp. 102 -103)  introduces them clearly and briefly: سلجوقیان - تاریخ، از بعثت پیامبر اسلم تا پایان صفویه

Listening: After Alexander's invasion, Iranians lost their sovereignty. This event remains an enigma in history. Today, we will listen to Dr. Touraj Daryayi, a well-known historian, who is explaining this period: Episode 9 -- Alexander of Macedonia and Collapse of Iranian Empire

Conversation topic: History and its impact on current events.
