1 week 2024 Learn Russian through the Constitution of the Soviet Union

I took a 5-day course called "Learning Russian through the Soviet Constitution". I thought this was an original way to improve one's Russian skills with some specialised and complex vocabulary and constructions. This was the second course I'm taking with the Aspirantum school and with the teacher, Aliona, so I had no doubts about the quality of teaching. We worked extensively on reading, we discussed the text and were encouraged to ask additional questions, and we were given the choice to focus on sections of the text that interest us most. There was a small group of students, so it really felt like we received individual attention. Communication took place entirely in Russian, which of course was great for additional practice of the language. Although I didn't have much previous experience speaking in Russian, I felt comfortable doing my best. I highly recommend the course to intermediate learners of Russian.

“This course proved to be one of the most interesting educational experiences I've encountered during my studies of the Russian language. Throughout the week, I found myself fully immersed in the subject matter, exploring both the language environment of the Soviet constitution and actively participating in discussions.”

“What an incredible course! This was a fantastic overview of the 1977 Soviet constitution. Using more formal language is a more challenging Russian text for me, but Aliona made sure we both understood the new words and the context in which we are meant to use them.”
