Aspirantum’s Middle Persian / Pahlavi course has been one of the best intensive introductions to a language I’ve ever taken. Ruben is an incredible instructor with a wide breadth of knowledge of the Persian language and literature across time, which greatly enriches the study of Pahlavi, its literature, and its grammar. Ruben is also very generous with his time, his knowledge, and his resources. The course is also very well-structured; the homework translations and in class review is incredibly useful when attempting to study a new language. I would recommend this course to any student of classical and medieval Iranian history, Persian literature and language, and I look forward to future courses.
