10 weeks (or 5-9 weeks) 2025 Russian Language Summer School (5-10 credits)

During a five-week program conducted in Yerevan, Armenia, I enjoyed the opportunity to not only further develop my language skills abroad, but also to appreciate the people and culture of the region more fully.  I was afforded with both an educational experience in the Russian language and the chance to exercise my new knowledge outside the classroom with the Armenian people, who also understand and speak the Russian language on a frequent or even daily basis.  The course was well arranged and executed, with the instructor’s active involvement and engagement with the students as we learned and utilized vocabulary and grammar skills both inside and outside of the classroom.  Additionally, our cultural and historical knowledge and experience was further augmented through various trips to amazing natural and historical Armenian sites, ruins, churches, monasteries, and exclusive cultural events, including the National Parliament, an art gallery, and the National Opera, just to name a few.  Having previously studied abroad with other programs in the pursuit of developing my foreign language skills, I can say that the Aspirantum Language School’s program is one of the most valuable and instructive experiences that I have experienced during my academic career up to date.  The program’s director and faculty are very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to the scholarly needs and desires of participants.  For these reasons and many others, I would adamantly recommend this program to those looking to expand their cultural horizons and develop their linguistic talents.
