Day 4 - Hilandar Fragments

This day is dedicated to Hilandar Fragments, a medieval manuscript from the end of the 10th century and the beginning of the 11th century. Phonetical processes studied this day are the continuation of palatalization, its j-version that influenced almost all consonants. Information about these changes allows us to build the word’s proto-forms and understand the alternations’ mechanisms. Nasal vowels are a unique feature of the Old Slavic language. They have their special origin and history in all Slavic languages. We will continue to study the verb and the adjective grammar.
