I can enthusiastically recommend the Russian course with Aspirantum. With Russia itself out of bounds for most Western students, Armenia is an ideal alternative. Between my Russian-speaking homestay, conversations with staff in shops and restaurants, and excursions with Russian-speaking drivers and guides, I was almost fully immersed in the language.
Alyona is an exceptional teacher, and her lessons are structured to help students develop across reading, listening, speaking and even writing. She made grammatical topics which have always been a real challenge for me finally seem within my grasp, and I found myself able to apply them more fluently in my daily life in Yerevan.
Returning to the UK, for the first time I can understand what is happening in Russian films or books, and can now continue my learning journey using native media - starting with a stack of Russian literature from Yerevan's booksellers!
