Day 4 - Literature

In this session, students will begin with grammar and then move on to reading, listening, and speaking, focusing on literature and relevant vocabulary.

Grammar: In the grammar section, we will study the Past Perfect, its rules, and functions.

Reading: "Dayi Jan Napoleon" is an outstanding novel in Iranian contemporary literature. The book gained popularity among people and was adapted into a TV series in the 1950s. Today, we will challenge our reading skills by reading the pages 1-3 from this book: Dayi Jan Napoleon

Listening: Iraj Pezeshkzad, the author of the book, describes how he came up with the idea of writing the book and answers the question of whether the book is based on reality or not: گفت و گو با ایرج پزشک زاد، خالق دایی جان ناپلئون

Conversation topic: Some people believe that literature has the power to influence our perspective on important topics. What is your experience with this?

Homework:
- Read one or two pages of the novel and write a brief summary of it.
- Listen to the video and transcribe one minute of the interview.
- Compose five sentences with new words.
