Dostoyevsky Scholarships to Learn Russian in Yerevan

ASPIRANTUM announces "Dostoyevsky Scholarships" for students in Russian Studies and relevant fields to participate in ASPIRANTUM's 5-10 weeks Russian language summer school 2025 in Yerevan, Armenia.

10 scholarships are available through ASPIRANTUM's Dostoyevsky scholarship scheme to those students who meet the eligibility criteria presented below and are interested in learning Russian in Armenia during the 5-10 weeks of Russian language summer school in 2025.

The scholarship:

The participation fee for the 5-10 weeks Russian Language course is $4190-$6690 ($6690 - 10 weeks, $6190 - 9 weeks, $5690 - 7 weeks, $5190 - 7 weeks, $4690 - 6 weeks, $4190 - 5 weeks). 

The Dostoyevsky scholarship will cover $1500

The student will pay $1,500 less than the original course price if awarded the Dostoyevsky Scholarship.

If you are selected and accept the scholarship, the payment deadline is February 15, 2025 (extensions can be requested). Scholarship recipients will also be asked to provide a photo and a short bio for publication on ASPIRANTUM's social media, where we will announce the winners.

Who is eligible?

Please apply for this scholarship only if you meet the eligibility criteria.

Only undergraduate (BA), graduate (MA), and postgraduate (Ph.D.) students, as well as researchers in Slavic Studies and related fields, enrolled in universities and other academic institutions from the below-specified countries, are eligible to apply for the Dostoyevsky scholarship. 

The ideal candidates will be 19 - 39 years old by the program's start. 

Only the citizens of the following countries are eligible for this scholarship:

Albania, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States of America, Uruguay.

Please do not apply for this scholarship if you have already secured funding from other sources.

Deadline to apply:

Please apply for this scholarship by January 15, 2025. The earlier you apply, the better your chances of receiving the scholarship.

Russian Language Summer School (5-10 credits), from Jun 22, 2025 to Aug 29, 2025 (10 weeks (or 5-9 weeks))

Come and join the Russian language summer school organized by ASPIRANTUM - Armenian School of Languages and Cultures. You can start the program on June 22, June 29, or July 6, 2025, and stay up to 10 weeks until August 29, 2025. If you prefer a shorter program, there are options for 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9 weeks.
